How would you pronounce this?

In Shakespeare%26#039;s A Midsummer Night%26#039;s Dream, Act 5, Scene 1, line 253, Starveling says %26quot;This lanthorn doth the horned moon present.%26quot; Would the %26quot;present%26quot; be pronounced like present, to be there, or like present, to show?

Thanks for your help! :)
How would you pronounce this?
accent on second syllable, it is the symbol of the moon.
How would you pronounce this?
pre%26#039; sent as to show.
Reply:Obviously he means %26quot;represents%26quot; so it would be pre sent as to exist.

I personally know that they just signed with G4 Television where their shows appear in 60 Million Homes Nationwide every Sat. and Sun. morning and and are also starting their first full length feature film next month.

Their Band %26quot;The Buzz%26quot; is down in L.A. right now and working with a Producer that Produced 50 Cent, Christina Aguilara, and they are scheduled to go on tour with Danity Kane.

If you have talent, they will get you in front of the right people, but with anything else you must refine your skill before you are ready to go big.

Good Luck!!!!
Reply:Well, there%26#039;s two main ways to get into fame.

One is to push for it at a very young age (4, 5 years old) and get your start, and two is to get lucky and work hard. It looks good on a resume for auditions to have several years of training such as college and community theater classes. Don%26#039;t go for the big roles at first, go for the very small roles such as background people or onewords.

Mark Simon casting contact?

Monologues for teens?

I need to bring in 5 teen appropriate monologues for tomorrow for my acting class. This means no cussing and no super adult language.

-It needs to be a minute or less, NO longer than a minute.

-It should be from a movie/book/play/tv show.

-Not so well known that while I am reciting my monologue my teacher can%26#039;t focus on me because she%26#039;s thinking of the actor doing it.

(eg.Lizzie McGuire, Hilary Duff)

Even if you could just give me a website that I can find something like what im looking for would be great!! Cause I%26#039;ve been looking and have been pretty unsuccesful.

Thanks for the help!

I want to become an actress before I get too old. How do I get started in the acting business?

I have wanted to be an actress for as long as I can remember. Please list any ideas or suggestions that you have to help get me started.
I want to become an actress before I get too old. How do I get started in the acting business?
Take a few classes at your local community College.

If you are on the west coast create a profile on either http://www.sfcasting.com or http://www.lacasting.com

If you are under 18, create a profile on http://www.gonnabe.com by getting a Screen-Test.

Constantly approach auditions while being yourself, friendly, and charismatic.

Good Luck!

The first thought that came to my mind is that you should check out massify.com. It%26#039;s a free online club where you can upload your resume, bio, photos, interests and link with other folks in the film industry who just may be seeking an actress like you for their independent production. I only know this because I joined it as well a few months ago and have received non-stop connection emails for productions in some facet or another. Good luck.
Reply:One way is to self- promote - consider creating a page on Castedas.com - you can create a profile with photos, videos, and info about all the performances you%26#039;ve been in. This is a brand new social site for actors - just launched.
Reply:First you going to have to go to acting schools for training. Not only one but a couple. Then you should get in local plays, school plays, student films. You could search for auditions on craigslist.com or subscribe to backstage.com The you should get headshots that look like you. Professional headshots are pretty expensive they cost $200-$1000 but on craigslist you could find less expensive headshot that range from $50 to $150. As you get more and more credits on your resume, you may want to go for an agent. An agent gets you auditions and they want people who they think would nail all the auditions they give. If you get a part in an audition. The money you make out of that work you pay 10% to your agent. ONLY 10%. If they ask for money upfront they are a SCAM. Once you get an agent you would start getting a lot of auditions which means more audition. As you make money out of roles you make you may want to get professional headshots. Then in the future you may want to join Union such a SAG, AFTRA , AEA.... HOPE I HELPED
